Patch Petal Company began long before it ever became a business. For founders Amanda Dickson and Kaylee Nunez, it started with a friendship that goes back to 2011. The two first met as neighbors in Midland, Texas, and before long that neighborly connection turned into a lifelong friendship.
Over the years, whenever there was something to celebrate — birthdays, baby showers, weddings, quinceañeras, or holiday gatherings — friends and family would call Amanda and Kaylee. Decorating spaces, designing centerpieces, creating bows, arranging flowers, and bringing events to life simply became what they were known for. At the time, they didn’t think of it as a business. It was just something they loved doing for the people around them.
But as the years went on, they began to realize that what started as a hobby was actually a passion. Amanda and Kaylee both believe their creativity and love for designing meaningful celebrations is a gift from God — the ability to take ideas and turn them into moments people remember. Seeing the joy on someone’s face when everything comes together became the most rewarding part.
Eventually they asked themselves a simple question: Why are we only doing this for friends and family?
That question became the beginning of Patch Petal Company.
Today, Patch Petal Co is a boutique florist and gift shop in Midland, Texas where celebrations come to life. From floral arrangements and gift baskets to centerpieces, balloons, and custom décor, Amanda and Kaylee design thoughtful details for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, holidays, and life’s many milestones.
But what truly makes Patch Petal special is their belief that no celebration should ever feel generic. Every moment is different. Every person is different. And every occasion deserves something personal.
Supported by the Midland community from the very beginning, Amanda and Kaylee continue to grow Patch Petal with the same purpose they started with — helping people come together, celebrate life, and create memories that last.
Because in the end, it’s never just about flowers or decorations. It’s about the moments they help create.
